You would have to drink a lot of "regular" beetroot juice to achieve a good effect, and the amount you need to drink will vary enormously.
There are many types of beetroot juice available for purchase. But the "strength" of these is not further described, defined and tested. You can use beetroot or beetroot juice, but the effect will be unpredictable and usually less effective, or have zero effect. It is simply not possible to create a predictable training program with regular beetroot juice.
Stamox has a slightly sweet and earthy flavour. You can easily mix Stamox with water, in juice, with citrus (will hide the beetroot taste), in a smoothie or in youghurt.

Mix 2 tablespoons powder in 200-500ml water 2-3 hours before the maximum effect is desired.
You can also blend with juice, electrolytes, in a smoothie etc.
Beginner-Friendly: Start with ½ scoop for the first week to assess tolerance.
Daily Training: Mix 1-2 tablespoons of Stamox in a glass of water. For longer sessions (more than 1 hour), you can take an additional 1 tablespoon of Stamox closer to the start of the training session.
Before a Race/Competition: Mix 2-3 tablespoons of Stamox in a glass of water. For endurance races (more than 1 hour), you can take an additional 3 tablespoons of Stamox closer to the start of the race.
Stamox Loading: To maximise the benefits before a race or significant training block, research suggests a loading phase by taking a competition dose of Stamox daily for 3-7 days leading up to the event.
For Daily Health: Mix a teaspoon up-to 1 tablespoon of Stamox in water, juice or in a smoothie daily.
Tips:
- Avoid antibacterial mouthwash after taking Stamox as it kills oral bacteria needed to convert nitrates.
- Be consistent with Stamox use. Benefits build with daily use (~5-7 days) for maximal effect in training adaptations.
The nitrate content in Stamox ranges from 1.3% to 1.7%, averaging 1.5% with a +/- 0.2% variance.
That means you're getting around 300 mg of nitrate in just two tablespoons.
However, it's crucial to understand that nitrate is only one component contributing to Stamox's unique benefits. You won't get the same results by simply taking nitrates on their own.
