Cyclists on a podium celebrating endurance wins, boosting VO2 max with stamox beetroot sport nutrition.

380w @ 145bpm vs 153bpm

"I can maintain a 380-watt threshold at just 145 bpm, compared to 153 bpm without it — my heart rate dropped 8 beats."

— Arvid Johannesen, Norwegian & Nordic Champion Cyclist

What Stamox Does

FULL-ROOT MATRIX

One formula.
Same result every batch.

Beetroot works as a whole root — not as isolated compounds. Four actives, one matrix.

01
Dietary Nitrates
Convert to nitric oxide. Widen blood vessels and improve blood flow to working muscle.
02
Betaine
Supports muscle contractility across repeated efforts. Power that holds deep into the session.
03
Betalains
Natural antioxidants. Limit oxidative stress after hard training sessions.
04
Polyphenols
Support recovery between sessions. Reduce inflammation and keep the next session sharp.

FAQ

Raw beetroot powders contain fibers and oxalates that cause stomach issues during hard efforts. Stamox is a highly refined extract—we isolate the active matrix and remove the fibrous compounds for maximum tolerability.

However, as with any sports nutrition, we always recommend testing your dosing protocol in training before using it on race day.

Regular beetroot juice varies enormously in strength — one bottle may work, the next may not. Stamox delivers a consistent, measured dose every scoop — with the full beetroot matrix (nitrates, betaine, betalains). Trusted by elite athletes for 19 years.

Stamox naturally has a sweet and earthy taste. Unflavoured and can easily be mixed into water, smoothies, or a pre-workout.

Yes. Stamox undergoes rigorous testing by the Anti-Doping Laboratory in Cambridge.

They confirm it is 100% free from prohibited substances and natural contaminants. We regularly submit batch samples and can provide certification documents upon request.

Mix 1-2 tablespoons into 500ml of cold water, juice, or your pre-workout 2–3 hours before training or racing. Skip mouthwash and breath mints for at least 2 hours after taking Stamox, as mouthwash kills the oral bacteria required to convert dietary nitrates into nitric oxide.

If you have naturally low blood pressure or take blood pressure medication, consult your doctor before use. As with all nitrate supplements, avoid antiseptic mouthwash within an hour of taking Stamox — it kills the oral bacteria needed to convert nitrate to nitric oxide.

Yes — but the gains look different.

The dietary nitrate research shows a clear population effect. Recreational and sub-elite athletes often see larger percentage improvements in time-to-exhaustion and VO₂ max, because their baseline oxygen efficiency has more room to improve. Elite athletes, whose oxygen exchange is already highly optimized, see smaller percentages from nitrate alone.

But Stamox isn't isolated nitrate. It's the full beetroot matrix — nitrate, betaine, betalains, and polyphenols. The other three actives address different limiting factors:

  • Betaine supports muscle contractility across repeated efforts
  • Betalains and polyphenols reduce oxidative stress and inflammation

These matter more, not less, as training load increases. Elite athletes produce more oxidative stress, need faster recovery between sessions, and often decide races in the final 20% — where cerebral blood flow and pacing matter most.

That's why you'll find Stamox in the bottles of Olympians and World Champions. The nitrate percentage may be smaller. The whole-root matrix still does its job.
