Session Intensity Guide

Peak effect 2–3 hours after intake.

Session Dose Timing
Recovery / Easy Optional Anytime
Moderate / Tempo 1–2 tbsp 2–3 hrs prior
Hard Intervals / Threshold 2–3 tbsp 2–3 hrs prior
Race Week Loading 2 tbsp Daily, 5–7 days out
Race / Key Event 2–3 tbsp 2–3 hrs prior

Double sessions: take one dose before each.

1 tbsp = 10g · 2 tbsp = 20g · 3 tbsp = 30g

Not just for race day.

Nitrate benefits accumulate. Load daily during hard training blocks — the effects build over 3–6 days and support recovery between sessions.

How to Mix

01 / Measure

1 tablespoon = 10g. Use the scoop provided or a standard kitchen tablespoon.
Athlete mixing Stamox beetroot sport nutrition powder for VO2 max on a running track.

02 / Mix

Add to 500ml cold water. Liquid first, then powder. A shaker or milk frother gives the smoothest mix — no clumps, no grit.

03 / Drink

Let it sit for 2 minutes before drinking. This gives the powder time to fully dissolve.

Flavour

Slightly earthy, naturally sweet. Add a squeeze of citrus to brighten the taste, or blend into a smoothie or yoghurt.
Critical Constraint

Avoid mouthwash, tongue scraping, and mints after intake—antiseptics destroy the oral bacteria needed for nitrate conversion.

FAQ

Raw beetroot powders contain fibers and oxalates that cause stomach issues during hard efforts. Stamox is a highly refined extract—we isolate the active matrix and remove the fibrous compounds for maximum tolerability. However, as with any sports nutrition, we always recommend testing your dosing protocol in training before using it on race day.

You would have to drink a lot of "regular" beetroot juice to achieve a good effect, and the amount you need to drink will vary enormously.

There are many types of beetroot juice available for purchase. But the "strength" of these is not further described, defined and tested. You can use beetroot or beetroot juice, but the effect will be unpredictable and usually less effective, or have zero effect. Plus, our extraction preserves the full beetroot matrix—we don't strip out the betaine and betalains like generic powders do.

Generic beetroot is unpredictable, and you can't build a serious training program on guesswork. Stamox provides consistent, measurable results trusted by elite athletes for 19 years.

Yes. Stamox undergoes rigorous testing by the Anti-Doping Laboratory in Cambridge.

They confirm it is 100% free from prohibited substances and natural contaminants. We regularly submit batch samples and can provide certification documents upon request.

Two tablespoons of Stamox deliver approximately 300 mg of natural dietary nitrate (our extract averages a highly consistent 1.5% nitrate content).

Taking isolated, synthetic nitrates won't give you the same performance boost. The real power of Stamox is the synergy. You are getting that precise nitrate dose working together with the plant's natural antioxidants, betalains, and betaine. That full-spectrum matrix is what actually drives the lower heart rate and faster recovery.

Slightly earthy, naturally sweet. Mix with cold water and lemon. No GI distress.

Mix 1 tablespoon into 500ml water, juice, or your pre-workout. For the smoothest mix: liquid first, then powder, wait 2 minutes, stir (or use a frother). Add a splash of lemon or orange to brighten the taste and boost absorption. Also great in smoothies or yoghurt.
